Soooo, seeing as ive never found anything halfway decent to this online yet, how do any of you go about concentrating on work? Reading for an essay, writing a text, work in general, learning, anything really! Im interested as i blatantly fail at that, and hope to maybe find something to work with, so write whatever works for you.

-> yes this is totally random, and ive no idea why im making this topic, but fuck reasons.
Did you know?

Im Nekron!

When reading, I always start with doubt and then half way through it get's really fucking good with a plot twist or smth and i'm up at 2:30am like For writing, I don't like to write shit people force me to, just what I want. And for learning, eh in uni you get used to pushing long nights and learning the absolite minimum...
Ah yes, my favorite quote from GOT: “May the force be ever in your favor, Mr. Potter” -Gandalf (chronicles of Narnia)

I plan how long I'm going to learn or how much work I'm going to do before I start and try to get rid of all the things that could be a distraction. Also I actually disagree with Katsu  :p

cause at night I'm always so tired that I literally can't do anything, so instead I schedule some days where I don't do anything except studying/other productive things. And I listen to music to keep myself focused. I've recently discovered that playing one track in a loop works better for me than a playlist so you can also try it this way.

As a person who basically makes a run for it when it comes to textbook-related homework, I can't really help.
But eh it's almost midnight and I'm feeling touchy.

So I used to struggle with concentrating on boring work too, I struggled so much I got kicked out of my you're-pretty-smart-level of education. I ended up ditching boring work altogether, so I could concentrate on fun stuff.
Turns out concentrating on work you LIKE doing is a lot more bearable. And so it magically all worked out and I'm now doing the thing I love the most in this world.

Of course I'm not saying you should follow my example, because it's a bad one.
But maybe try looking outside the box or... book.

Idk, I'm just rambling at this point.

Goodnight! o/

It's music that does it for me. I usually listen to something i don't understand so it doesn't get in my head or something with no lyrics at all like noise/drone. Of course my folks hate this because they don't appreciate noise :)
