Ascension is a guild that has been around since the beginning of AoTTG’s multiplayer launch back in June of 2014. Founded by Abiicias in June 14, 2014, the aim of Ascension has, and always will, be a group aiming to bring an entertaining and social experience for its members. Though many changes and adjustments have altered it’s appearance to its older image, it’s aim to bring a more positive and mature atmosphere still remains. With AoTTG suffering incidents that caused a downspike in AoTTG’s player count and activity, Ascension no longer mandates the “must play AoTTG” to continue enjoying the membership that’s offered. Instead of tossing members for competive steps or to maintain a dominant appearance, it instead wishes to continue to take care of itself by making sure each individual member isn’t tended to while putting them first. After all, toxicity is far too common and intolerable, so everyone needs a place to relax, chat, and play without fearing of being ridiculed.
Due to its strict aim, gaining membership is often viewed as one of the hardest to gain. No skill requirements in AoTTG is necessary to join, but applicants must have a strong social and open minded personality. Whether one is accepted is whether by how they present and express themselves towards a 1-on-1 discussion/interview with its leader followed by a series of other communication tests. Thanks to these mesasurements and care for its internal community, Ascension has still managed to stay alive within the community and possibly being one of the oldest guilds still around. Long enough to still have members apply at the age of 13 and now seeing them enter college.
Ascension does come with a few negative points as well. While maintaining a strong social life, AoTTG is one of the lesser games played due to multiple reasons that go outside of the guild. With majority of members being over the age of 17, personal time to waste on a browser game just isn’t as accessable as it was in 2014-2015. So getting a guild server up is highly unlikely, but this is madeup with our occasional get-togethers of playing other various games and watching things together on Rabbit.
Though not the best guild out on the market, it is surely a pretty decent place to hang around where one can enjoy themselves.
All usernames must be non offensive and legible. Meaning no usernames such as: 0110010110 or XxXEatMyAss69XxX.
Gotta have “Ascension” as your tag. Color doesn’t matter and slight variations are fine if approved. “.:Ascension:.” as an example.
May only use mods permitted by the guild. Basically, no abusive mods.
Double-Guilding is a nono. You’re either a member here or elsewhere.
You must be within “good standings” within the community. We do not wish to take in someone with a recent history of harassment, bullying, or general toxicity.
Though AoTTG isn’t heavily played as it used to be, we still host servers for other games including: Minecraft, Skyrim Together, Smash Bros, Monster Hunter, PokeOne, and even AoT;E.
If you’re still a hardcore individual who only plays AoTTG and looking for something competitive, Ascension also has Member Profiles where you can earn badges and fill it with achievements you’ve gained. You can see a preview of a profile here . Alongside profiles where you can earn badges through completing certain challenges in AoTTG, you also are registered into a leaderboard amongst the other guildmates based on the badges you’ve collected.
Custom member skins for uniforms and blades are available for all members. Capes are also made to have the Ascension Emblem, not the logo you saw above, to represent your membership. Any and all colors of the capes are available.
Members have access to ranked rewards within then Discord server and entries into Steam game giveaways held nearly monthly.
In order to join Ascension, you’ll first need to contact Abiicias on Discord (Abiicias#2096) and notify him that you wish to apply for the guild. This will start the application process where hopefully you will become the next member.
Do you allow guests?
Ascension does allow guests within their Discord server to an extent. These individuals who are allowed into the guild without membership are restricted to only about 1/5 of the Discord server and have to meet certain parameters to join to begin with. Applicants, players who are associated with the guild, but not members, and close friends of guildmates that have been approved by the leader arebthe notable three (3) qualifications.
I currently belong to another guild, but I’m considering leaving, how do I know Ascension is right for me without leaving my previous guild?
This is a concern that many people have when looking for a new guild which is why the application process has been updated to adjust for individuals like this. When an applicant has nearly passed their application to become a member, they are permitted to join the Discord server as a guest for a certain amount of time to see if Ascension’s community is what they want without having to remove their previous membership. Of course if the applicant wants to join at the end of the trial, they will still need to resign from their previous guild beforehand. All of which will be checked.
I met a member with the Ascension tag and they were definitely not kind or enjoyable to speak with. Can this be expected from most members?
Absolutely not. If a member is going against the behavioral guidelines that every member accepts when joining the guild, they are breaking the rules and are expected to be removed. However, it is not uncommon for someone to use the “Ascension” tag who isn’t a member to begin with. There has been two major notable events when other guilds calling themselves Ascension were formed which caused a lot of confusion. It’s always best to check with Abiicias regarding any member or confirmation about any situation regarding the guild and it’s members.
Does Ascension have any higher positions, ranks, or something aside from a normal member?
Not officially. There are a few gag and self appointed roles, but Ascension has no other serious positions other than a normal member, and the leader position. When an issue happens within the guild, the leader takes action to find the best suitable course that benefits everyone by the rules. Opinions, changes, and other things that require a second voice is an open discussion by all the members as every change affects them to a degree so they have a decision on how it should be done. Self appointed roles just stuff people call themselves after doing something Guild related. A few notable examples are: Map Maker, Author, Photographer, etc.
